Complete Fix guide for all Fallout GamesĪll Posts must be directly related to Fallout. It was really weird, the disc doesn't work whatsoever. I've already had the game installed onto my hard drive yet it couldn't read off the disc. The inconvenicence sucks, but in the long run I pretty much save a bit more money with getting a regular version as my replacement haha. Probably best bet is just get the regular version with my refunded cash (I've got the DLC installed on my HDD) and get whatever else with my remaining dollars (thinking about that Bioshock/Oblivion combo I've been seeing in stores or the new DLC for GTA IV). I knew GTA IV was awesome, but I couldn't complete my second playthrough with that game. I'm just skeptical if I can bare to go through the game's content. Right now the hype is all about Borderlands, then it'll switch over to MW2 which I've already ordered. Getting into the "talks" with my friends isn't a problem. How could I find him I do not know what actor id he is, but I'm sure I could do movetoplayer command. I went to Vault 101, and I couldn't go in. I went to the scrapyard, and he isn't there. Yeah I know right? The disc looks seriously fucked up and its not even scratched or anything. After I escaped out of the Enclave base, I went to check if Dogmeat was in Vault 101 or Scrapyard. But whatever, its still worth cash. Things went more smooth since I bumped into a guy who I knew at school who was working there. I brought the copy of the game back to the retailer who happily happened me a Rogers gift card instead of cold hard cash. Haven't tried cleaning it since the disc is entirely new, also hate to admit it but I've never tried to clean a disc the correct way (I just use a damp cloth/tissue instead of alcohol). I already tried playing Call of Duty 4 for half an hour after and it worked fine so the console's alright. Oh and funny thing is that I can get the disc running to the point of the loading screen when I goto the games library and use "play from hard drive" but it doesn't work further after that. The thing is that Fallout 3 is pretty fun, but I'm not sure if I wanna go through this bugged as hell game and if there's something else better. First question's first, does Rogers have some kind of limited warranty for games? If you don't know Rogers, then I suppose my question to you is in general do video stores have a limited warranty for video games? Second question, if I can successfully shove up my Fallout 3 disc back up into Roger's ass, should I make him get me a new copy of the game or should I get a new game with the refunded money? And if so, which games do you recommend? I was thinking about Forza Motorsport 3 and Dragon's Age: Origins and Borderlands, though I'm a bit hesitant to get it since I've already pre-ordered MW2. This is where I need Giant Bomb's expertise and opinion on this subject. Now I don't know why the hell there's this splotch on my disc, but its probably an good indication that this disc is pretty much faulty and fucking useless beyond this point (or barely functioning and liable to not working when it can/does work). So I checked at the back of the disc and was horrified (and yet surprisingly amused) to find a huge fucking spot engraved into the back of the disc Birds eye view of the horror. Unfortunately my easy fix didn't quite go as planned (which actually worked pretty well with another game). I was like "ah whatever I'll try it tomorrow" assuming that the disc/console will fix itself. I tried resetting the game after it froze out on me during a combat session but only came up with a blank black screen. Four days after I bought Fallout 3 GOTY from Rogers the disc became unreadable on the third day.
